Review

In the last step of our approach, Review allows caregivers to reflect on the skills they have learned and practiced. This step is essential to adult learning and providers should be sure to ask caregivers questions that target the skill and how they will incorporate it into the home. Remember to incorporate both positive and constructive questions.

For example:

  1. What do you feel went well during your practice? (positive)

  2. What did you find most difficult about using this skill? (constructive)

  3. What can you do next time to improve this interaction? (constructive)

You have now learned all 4 steps to the Teach-Model-Coach-Revew approach! We hope you utilize this coaching approach to create a framework and provide structure when communicating with famillies.
